Pros: The performance of this kettle braai was excellent in our tests and we found it easy to cook a variety of foods on it. The meat grid is large for cooking big amounts of foods and the deep bowl retained heat well. The grids are fairly sturdy. The space between the base and meat grid is 25cm, which is fairly deep, and 13cm from the charcoal, so the foods were not too close to the heat. The various kinds of meat were succulent and perfectly cooked. It has two handles, so you have the option of carrying it rather than wheeling it. The meat grid sits about 6cm from the top of the lid and can flap up for extra coals to be added – a handy feature. The openings in the base are adjustable and we liked the removable ash collector.
Cons: The lid is slightly heavy to handle and we found that it took a little more time to assemble than some of the others.
