Pros: The beaker sat securely in its casing and didn’t lift out easily, which helps prevent breakage. It was light and a good size. We liked the non-slip handle – it was comfortable to hold and easy to grip. This plunger’s performance was average in our tests. We found that it did maintain heat well after seven minutes.

Cons: It was easy to lift and press down the shaft. We found that the micromesh filter was not as tight a fit with the beaker as the fine wire mesh ones. It didn’t retain all the granules – there were a few bits floating on the surface. If the shaft was pressed down with force, the micromesh filter caused splattering on the sides. We had to check that the filter on the lid was aligned before pouring.
